Longwood Historic Society

Celebrating the present, while preserving the past.

Our Properties

The Longwood Historic Society owns and maintains three buildings within the historic district. They date to the 1870s and 1880s.

Historic Civic Center

The “HCC” has been a community hub since 1880. The former home of the Civic League is now our clubhouse. It’s available for rent for your gatherings of up to 80 people.

Inside-Outside House

This mail order home was assembled in 1873 in Altamonte Springs. It was moved here in 1973 and is now home to Cottage Gift Shop, open six days a week.

Bradlee-McIntyre House

Nathaniel Bradlee built this as his winter cottage in 1885 in Altamonte Springs, relocated here in 1973. It is now a museum, open for tours on Wednesdays and Sundays.

Friendly People

We do a lot of good for the community, but we try to have fun while doing it! Our members help volunteer at events and attend quarterly meetings including old-fashioned potlucks.

Monster Dash 5K

Our largest fundraiser of the year is a family-friendly run/walk at Halloween called the Monster Dash. Since it started in 2018, it has raised over $100,000 for the Society and attracts 400 participants to the historic district.
